What’s New in Red5 Cloud v1.14.0?
Here is what you need to know about the Red5 Cloud v1.14.0 update announced on April 24, 2026.
New Features
- Red5 Analytics and metrics available for Growth customers: Growth-plan customers now have access to Red5 Analytics, a comprehensive streaming analytics dashboard powered by ClickHouse. Monitor per-stream and per-viewer metrics including protocol, audio/video quality, published minutes, peak concurrent views, unique views, FPS, and subscriber details (device, country, edge region, bytes transferred). Analytics data is visualized through a secure Grafana-based dashboard deployed alongside your infrastructure.
- Enabled controls and removed muted attributes from pop-up preview player: The pop-up preview player on the Streams page now has playback controls enabled and audio unmuted by default, making it easier to preview live streams directly from the Cloud UI.
- HLS now available: Red5 Cloud now supports HLS output (egress). When cloud storage is enabled, a new HLS toggle in the Node Group settings activates the Video Packager pipeline, enabling HTTP Live Streaming delivery for your streams, which is a traditional approach for large-audience playback and VOD workflows.
Customers interested in trying MOQ (Media over QUIC), a next-generation approach that combines WebRTC and HLS-style workflows into a single protocol with a simplified architecture, can contact us to join the beta.
- CORS configuration now available: A new CORS (Cross-Origin Resource Sharing) configuration section is now available in Node Group settings. By default, all origins are allowed (*). You can restrict access to specific domains by adding them to the Allowed Origins list, locking down stream access to only your authorized domains.
Bug Fixes
- Corrected start date in Review Details page for scheduled deployment.
- “Broadcast Using Your Camera” popup now reflects newly added node groups.
