What’s New in Red5 Cloud 1.2.3?

Announced on January 28, 2025, the Red5 Cloud 1.2.3 update brought valuable enhancements and fixes. Here is what you need to know about this update: 

New Features

  • The new dashboard page is the Streams page instead of the Deployments page.
  • When users first log in, they are provided with a Quick Start guide at the bottom of the main page helping them get started using Red5 Cloud.

  • Red5 Cloud has added an easy way for users to create and reserve streams for WebRTC, RTMP, and SRT protocols.

The Red5 Cloud 1.2.4 update, announced on February 5, 2025, , addressed the following bug “Improved the reliability of multiple SRT streams being published simultaneously”. 

What’s New in Red5 Cloud 1.2.5?

The Red5 Cloud 1.2.5 update, announced on February 20, 2025, introduced the following updates:

New Features

  • Thumbnail service can be configured in UI.
  • WebRTC and Zixi streams can be provisioned in the UI.
  • Baseline deployment configuration can be viewed read-only.

Bug Fixes

  • Some publish URLs were not correctly formed in the UI.
  • Stream name limit of 236 characters is now enforced in the UI.
  • Can now publish RTMPS from OBS to Red5 Cloud.
  • Encrypted storage authentication credentials are now re-encrypted when account password is changed.
  • Mirrored icons and imagery on player pages in QuickStart have been removed.
  • Storage credentials can now be deleted in the UI.
