What’s New in Red5 Cloud v1.9.2?
Announced on June 18, 2025, the Red5 Cloud v1.9.2 update introduced valuable improvements and bug fixes. Here is what you need to know about this update.
Improvements
- UI Improvements to Streams Detail Page: The “New Stream” button has been repositioned for better usability. It now appears below the list of Streams for clearer visibility and improved flow.
- Deployments Renamed to Node Groups: All instances of the word “Deployment” in the UI have been replaced with “Node Group” for consistency and clarity across the platform.
- Node Group Details UI Updated: Enhanced layout and structure on the Node Groups page (formerly Deployments) to present information more clearly and intuitively.
Bug Fixes
- RTMP Publishing Endpoint: The RTMP publish endpoint in the Node Group panel now correctly displays the associated RTMP proxy port (e.g., 1935, 1936), ensuring accurate stream setup.
- Session Expiry Handling: Resolved issues where expired sessions caused unexpected behavior, ensuring users are logged out and prompted to reauthenticate.
- UI Consistency: Fixed various UI inconsistencies across the platform.
- Authentication Issues: Addressed problems with Proxy JWT login mechanisms.
Known Issues
Default RTMP Pull URL: The default RTMP pull URL is now a placeholder and must be replaced with a valid URL for the “Add Stream” button to be enabled.
RTMP Proxy Port Display: The RTMP proxy port may not display correctly in certain node group configurations.
