Red5 allows us to completely virtualize live user testing of GeForce Now games with synced data and multiple views, all while recording in the cloud for easy playback of the sessions.
Jim Van Welzen, Director of Software at NVIDIA

Upgrading our video management system was essential for Caltrans District 7, and the collaboration with Red5 Pro and FLIR has proven to be a game changer. Their IP VDS solution not only addressed the limitations of our legacy system but also enhanced our operational capabilities with web-based real-time video streaming, meeting our stringent security requirements. The unmatched clarity in their proposal and positive customer references gave us the confidence to move forward. The high-availability technology provided by Chris Allen’s team allows our system to scale dynamically, ensuring that we can efficiently manage traffic and improve safety across our network.

FAQs
What is a license?
A license gives you access to run Red5 Pro streaming capabilities on your servers. It defines your plan level (Developer Pro, Startup Pro, Growth Pro, or Enterprise), the features included, and how many instances you can use. You can upgrade your license at any time from your account without changing your infrastructure.
What is an instance?
An instance is a single running Red5 Pro server used to process and deliver streams. Each server you spin up counts as one instance. If a server runs for 15 minutes or more, it is counted for that month. You are billed based on the highest number of instances running at the same time.
Do I need to pay for hosting separately?
Yes. Red5 Pro is hosting agnostic, so you deploy it on your preferred cloud provider such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure. Infrastructure and data transfer costs are paid directly to your provider. This keeps pricing transparent and avoids added markups from bundled platforms.
Do you charge based on streaming usage (minutes, viewers, or bandwidth)?
No. Red5 Pro does not charge based on minutes streamed, number of viewers, or bandwidth usage. Pricing is based on your license and the number of instances you run. This makes costs more predictable as you scale.
Do I need to pay separately for iOS, Android, and Linux SDKs?
No. You do not pay per SDK. If you need iOS, Android, and Linux SDKs for the same project, you will still pay a single fee. The cost is $419 per month if billed monthly or $349 per month if billed annually. The price includes all required SDKs for one launched project.
