While attending the Streaming Media East conference in New York City, our team was very excited to demo an incredible achievement in live streaming. Broadcasting from the conference to a server hosted in Paris we were able to achieve around 180ms of latency.
We are so proud of all the work that our team has put into Red5 Pro to make this possible. It is through their efforts that we remain an industry leader.
Don’t just take our word on it, watch the video below and see for yourself.
Note: In our enthusiasm, we were a little too quick with our calculations and miscalculated the actual latency. Upon closer examination of the blurry numbers produced by the fast-moving stopwatch, the actual latency is 180ms. No matter how you read the numbers, it’s always super-fast, real-time latency.
Milliseconds to millions. To find out more, send an email to info@red5.net or schedule a call.
