QUESTION:

I downloaded the RedPro Server, but when I start it by clicking on “ RED5.bat”  It opens a command prompt in windows and closes right after.  How do I fix this?

ANSWER:

Please make sure you have Java (8) installed, and have set your JAVA_HOME correctly according to our Windows installation guide.

Pro Tip: Add “pause” to the end of a Windows file to prevent it from closing so you can see an error in the console.
