What version of Ubuntu does Red5 Pro use? Will Red5 Pro run on Ubuntu 20?

ANSWER:

With server version 9.0.0, Red5 Pro is officially supported and tested on Ubuntu 20.04. Please see the 9.0.0 Release Notes for more details, as well as our Linux server install guide.

As of release 9.0.0, Red5 Pro requires Java version 11. Please see this document if you are installing a version prior to 9.0.0.

To install all of the libraries and dependencies on Ubuntu 20, run:

apt-get update 
apt-get install -y openjdk-11-jdk unzip libva2 libva-drm2 libva-x11-2 libvdpau1 jsvc ntp
