Red5 Pro 4.6.0 Mobile SDK Release

Spring is finally here! Well, in Boston, for this week at least. Who knows about the rest of New England. To celebrate, we have released our Mobile SDK version 4.6.0 for Android and iOS. We added the ability to continue broadcasting audio when the app is in the background, improved adaptive bitrate for smoother streaming and further increased stability.

iOS SDK:

• Fixed crash on pause-resume
• Added video rotation to local recording
• Added ability to broadcast audio with app in background
• Adaptive Bitrate improvements
• Added ability to set different recording properties for local recording and live recording of broadcast
• Fixed crashing after switching between publishing and subscribing multiple times
• Buffer overflow fixes
• Additional stability improvements

Android SDK:

• Fixed Android getstreamimage function not working properly for some resolutions
• Fixed crash with playback audio listener
• Added ability to broadcast audio with app in background
• Adaptive Bitrate improvements
• Added ability to set different recording properties for local recording and live recording of broadcast
• Fixed crashing after switching between publishing and subscribing multiple times
• Buffer overflow fixes
• Additional stability improvements
